Rigeldev BV is the controller for public website inquiries. Send privacy questions or rights requests to the email above.

What we collect and why

  • Evaluation inquiries: your name, company, work email and the context you choose to provide. We use these to understand your request, communicate with you and assess a possible evaluation. Please do not send sensitive personal information or confidential project material.
  • Website delivery and security: our hosting provider processes connection information, such as IP address and request metadata, to deliver the site and prevent abuse. Our inquiry database does not store your IP address. Submission controls use a short-lived rate-limit key. Cloudflare Turnstile checks browser and connection signals on the evaluation form to prevent automated abuse. We send the verification token and IP address to Cloudflare to validate the check before saving an inquiry; we do not store that token or include it in analytics.
  • Optional analytics: where enabled, and only after you choose “Allow analytics,” PostHog receives known page paths, query-free page URLs, anonymous session and page identifiers, visit duration, action categories and outcomes. Inquiry text, names, email addresses, company names, raw URLs and query strings are excluded. Session recording and advertising tracking are disabled.

Legal bases

We handle business inquiries on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. Where your request concerns entering a contract with you personally, processing may also be necessary to take steps at your request before that contract. We use necessary hosting and abuse protection for our legitimate interest in operating a secure website. Optional analytics relies on your consent. We may retain specific records where required by law.

Cookies and local storage

The public site does not require advertising cookies. If analytics is enabled, we store your allow/decline preference in your browser for up to 180 days. After consent, an anonymous analytics identifier is stored in session storage for the current browser tab so we can understand navigation between pages. It is cleared when that tab’s session ends or analytics consent is withdrawn. You can decline without losing access to the site, and withdraw consent through “Analytics preferences” in the footer. Withdrawal stops future capture; it does not affect processing already carried out lawfully. External application sign-in has its own session and storage behavior.

Who processes this information?

Cloudflare hosts and protects the website. Neon stores evaluation form records in the Scopefold database region in Frankfurt, Germany. Linear stores a copy of your inquiry in a private evaluation project so authorized Rigeldev personnel can track and follow up on your request. When configured, PostHog processes optional analytics. We do not sell inquiry information or add you to a marketing list just because you contact us.

Infrastructure providers may process operational information internationally. We use their service terms and applicable data-protection safeguards; you can contact us for information about relevant processing locations and transfer safeguards. See Cloudflare’s privacy information, Neon’s privacy information, Linear’s privacy information and PostHog’s privacy information.

How long do we keep it?

Evaluation form records in Neon expire 90 days after their last database follow-up update and are removed by scheduled cleanup. Linear follow-up issues are checked daily and moved to trash after 90 days without an issue or comment update. Linear then retains deleted issues for its 30-day recovery period. Temporary provider outages can delay cleanup; failed operations are retried. Limited backup copies may remain until the database provider’s configured recovery window expires. If an evaluation becomes an ongoing business relationship, related correspondence and contractual records are handled separately for that relationship and applicable record-keeping obligations. Hosting security records follow the provider’s operational retention settings. Optional website analytics uses PostHog’s default retention policy in its EU region. Our project currently reports a seven-year retention window, but automatic expiry is not currently enforced, so this is not a guaranteed deletion deadline. You can contact us with questions about retention or to request erasure where applicable.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your information, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw analytics consent. Contact us using the address above; we may ask for information needed to verify your request. You may complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority or another competent supervisory authority.

Changes

We update this page as the website and its processing change. The date above identifies this version.
